Blu-ray, high definition, 3D news from Hollywood
Following is a new trailer for the new new “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” coming to IMAX theaters December 16…
“M:I – Ghost Protocol” is directed by animation film director Brad Bird (“The Incredibles,” “The Iron Giant”) and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Lea Seydoux, and Anil Kapoo.
Fox is teasing some of the deleted scenes from the upcoming Sept. 16 Blu-ray release of “Star Wars” on Blu-ray at Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend.
Here is a 60-second teaser of the teasers, with a particularly intriguing new animation of a light saber emblazoning the Blu-ray logo:
With HBO‘s highly-anticipated series “Luck” winding up production at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia on the nine episodes of the first season expected to debut in January, the network has released a 90-second in-production teaser that reveals the first few clips from the program starring Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte.

“I Am Number Four,” from producer Michael Bay, will open on 228 IMAX screens domestically this Friday (Feb. 18).
The DreamWorks Studios suspense thriller distributed by Walt Disney Studios and directed by D.J. Caruso will also be released to at least 96 IMAX screens internationally, with nine screens opening day-and-date.

The DreamWorks live-action fantastical thriller “I Am Number Four” is coming to IMAX theaters from Disney‘s Touchstone distribution on Feb. 18.
Helmed by D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye,” “Disturbia”), “I Am Number Four” is about an extraordinary teen (Alex Pettyfer) who is hiding out while being hunted by ruthless enemies who have already killed the first three of his kind. Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Dianna Agron (Glee) also star in the story set in a small Ohio town where the young man discovers powerful new abilities as well as a connection to the others who share his destiny.
