Imagine the Roadrunner watching Wile E. Coyote fall down one of those canyons with an anvil in 3D.
Warner Bros. is making an image like that happen in a series of 3-minute theatrical shorts to debut with the new 3D short “Coyote Falls,” which will precede the studio’s 3D sequel “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” July 30, the studio announced Thursday (May 20).
The short and others in development are part of yet another re-introduction of the Looney Tunes characters, who will be getting another new half-hour TV series this fall starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck called “The Looney Tunes Show,” on Warner sister cable channel Cartoon Network.
The second and third theatrical shorts will be paired with “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” on September 24, and “Yogi Bear,” opening Dec. 17.
