Philly Inquirer going 3D

Philly Inquirer going 3D

The latest publication to jump on the 3D bandwagon is the struggling Philadelphia Inquirer.

A special section filled with 3D photos and ads will be published and distributed to newsstands Sunday with 3D glasses, June 13, according to local CBS3 TV. It also will be available on philly.com the following day.

In addition to this month’s Playboy centerfold in 3D, newspapers in China, London and Belgium have recently published 3-D editions.

The newspaper has been in bankruptcy and last month was sold in auction for $139 million, with the sale expected to be completed by early July.
