“The Green Hornet” in 3D dropped a respectable 46% in its second weekend and, aided by another weekend in IMAX theaters, finished in close second with $18.1 mil. behind the $20.3 mil. debut of the Ashton Kutcher/Natalie Portman romantic comedy “No Strings Attached.”
With a cumulative $63.4 mil. in its first 10 days, “The Green Hornet” has surpassed “Kick-Ass” as the top-grossing live-action superhero comedy and had a smaller decline and higher gross than “Pineapple Express” at the same point, according to BoxOffice Mojo.
Meanwhile, two other 3D films held the final two spots in the top 10: “Yogi Bear” ($4 mil.; $88.9 mil. to date), and “Tron: Legacy” ($3.7 mil.; $163.3).
