Benjamin Walker has reportedly been cast to play Abraham Lincoln in Fox’s summer 2012 3D film “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” from co-producers Tim Burton and Jim Lemley, according to several reports.
Other reports have Joaquin Phoenix as the frontrunner for the role of Walker’s vampire mentor in the semi-historical action flick from director Timur Bekmambetov and based on the Seth Grahame-Smith novel of the same name.
The story suggests that the real conflict of the Civil War was the President’s quest to rid the world of vampires.
Production is expected to begin in March for a June 22, 2012 release.
