3D technology company 3ality Digital has appointed Steve Schklair as CEO.
Schklair has been acting as CEO of the technology development and production subsidiary of 3ality Digital, which the company credits for driving 3ality Digital’s remarkable 600% growth over the past year.
3ality Digital offers camera rigs and stereoscopic processors in live television broadcasts, commercials, features and episodic productions. As the sole developer of intelligent systems that combine both software and hardware, 3ality Digital delivers on the “holy grail” of S3D production: near pixel-perfect images in real-time, right from the camera. The company’s systems enable producers to shoot S3D on 2D production schedules with high quality and lowest overall impact on the budget.
“3ality Digital is honored to have been selected as the production technology powering many ‘firsts’ in the marketplace, ranging from the first live broadcast of an NFL game in the US, to the first live terrestrial broadcast of S3D in Australia and live S3D cricket in India,” Schklair said. “We are particularly proud to be the primary technology behind the BSkyB launch of their S3D network.”
