NBA launches games on ESPN 3D

The new LeBron James-led Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh will get even more depth on Dec. 17 when their game against the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden becomes the first regular season NBA game to be televised on ESPN 3D.

The network will televise 8 regular season games and a total of 14 NBA games in 3D in the upcoming 2010-11 season, including three Western Conference Finals games. Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will make their debut in 3D on Friday, Jan. 21, and then again on Friday, Feb. 11. Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic also get two dips on 3D Friday, Feb. 25, and Friday, March 4.
