It only took a week to sell out all tickets for the “Tron Night: An IMAX 3D Experience” 20-minute preview of Walt Disney Pictures’ “Tron: Legacy” at 120 IMAX theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Oct. 28.
More than 70% of the available Tron Night tickets sold out in just a few hours, with some locations selling out in five minutes, according to Greg Foster, chairman and president of IMAX Filmed Entertainment.
Tickets to midnight screenings of “Tron: Legacy” on Dec. 17 (the night of Dec. 16) are still available for select IMAX 3D theaters nationwide and 3D & IMAX 3D theaters internationally, and may be purchased at all participating IMAX locations and online at the Facebook page and Disney.com/Tron.
