Frankenweenie, Carter of Mars 2012

Disney today announced release dates in 2012 for two major upcoming Disney Digital 3D releases:

* The full-length 3D feature version of Tim Burton’s animated short “Frankenweenie,” the story of a dog who gets the Frankenstein treatment, which he made as a student at California Institute of the Arts in 1984, is scheduled for release on March 9, 2012.

* The 3D cinematic adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel “John Carter of Mars,” starring Taylor Kitsch in the title role as a Civil War veteran who finds himself transplanted to the red planet that is inhabited by giant green creatures, is now slated for release on June 8, 2012.
