The first animated feature film adaptation of Tarzan since Disney’s 1999 box-office hit musical will be produced in 3D by Germany’s Constantin Film, according to Variety.
The English-language film for which rights were acquired from the estate of Tarzan book series author Edgar Rice Burroughs will be produced by Robert Kulzer and Reinhard Klooss.
Kulzer is a producer on Paul W.S. Anderson’s 3D “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” being released next month, and Anderson’s 3D version of “The Three Musketeers,” which is in production.
Klooss is the writer/director/producer of the animated 3D “Animals United,” coming this fall.
