New Blu: 9, Getaway, Jen’s Body

Dark and unsettling seems to be the theme for the post-Christmas holiday week of releases (Dec. 29) heading into the new year:

• 9 ($39.98, Universal) is a computer-animated post-apocalyptic world (Tim Burton is co-producer) in which nine small creations of a dying scientist try to alter the course of devstation.
  – Original short, deleted scenes, production tour, social networking, etc.

• A Perfect Getaway – Unrated Director’s Cut ($39.98, Universal) features spectacular and lush settings as young couples hike on Hawai’ian island of Kauai but there’s nothing pretty about the intense man with them and the even more ominous couple stalking them. No extra nudity in the few extra minutes in unrated edition, if you were wondering.
  – Alternate ending

• Jennifer’s Body – Unrated ($39.99, Fox) is writer Diablo Cody’s (”Juno”) latest work, this time about a seductress cheerleader (Megan Fox) who becomes even more trouble when she becomes demon-possessed. Buyer beware: despite the title and lure of “unrated” version, you won’t see any Megan Fox nudity here.
  – “Megan Fox is Hot” is 55-second “tease” of every brief close-to-sexy moment of Fox in movie.
  – Gag reel, deleted scenes, commentary with Cody and others.
