Perhaps the most honored and nominated movie of the year so far, “The Social Network” is coming to Blu-ray on January 11, prior to the announcement of the winners of The Golden Globes, for which it collected six nominations, or even the announcement of nominations for Academy Awards.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will introduce the controversial two-hour drama about the founder of Facebook written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher in a 2-disc Blu-ray set priced at $34.95 SRP.
Among the bonus feature is an audio commentary by Fincher and another by Sorkin and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer and Josh Pence.
The second disc features a four-part feature-length making-of documentary, plus additional behind-the-scenes featurettes and a multi-angle interactivity that allows viewers to see the same scene from four different angles and with different music.
In addition to the Golden Globe nominations, “The Social Network” has already won Best Picture awards from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the New York Film Critics Circle and the
National Board of Review, among others, and .collected nine Critics’ Choice nominations.
