Glasses-free 3D is calling you on your cell phone.
Sharp is announcing several models of Android handsets with 3D in Japan, according to Europe’s 3Dradar.
Japan’s Softbank today unveiled those Softbank Mobile smartphones from Sharp that display 3D photos, videos and games without the need to wear special glasses, according to the Times of India.
Sharp’s Galapagos 003SH and 005SH features Android 2.2 as an OS, and a 3.8-inch 3D-capable liquid crystal displays with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The 003SH will be out in Japan by Christmas, and the 005SH in February 2011.
Ustream will also feed live 3D video to the phones.
