Panasonic’s plasma 3DTV model TX-P65VT20B nailed the top-rated spot on 3Dradar‘s list of top ten 3DTVs.
Although the sister website of TechRadar complains about no 2D-to-3D circuitry, uncomfortable glasses that let in too much light for a screen that already loses more brightness in 3D mode than LCD models, and “double-ghosting of objects in mid-to-far distance,” the model (along with its 50-inch sibling) gets high praise for “immense black level response and far less obvious crosstalk issues than you’ll find on any active LCD 3D TV.”
“…the overall image is crisp and convincing…” and “…arguably serves up the best 3D TV pictures currently available.”
Sony’s LCD models KDL-60LX903, KDL-52HX903, KDL-40HX803 take the next three spots in the rankings, with the best Samsung (UE55C9000) ranked fifth, the best LG (55LX9900) ranked sixth, and the best Philips display (Cinema 21:9 Platinum) ranked seventh.
